The last gathering held at Mabini Street, and the reason every one since has been at the beach. Forty-one people attended a house that comfortably holds twelve.
What happened
The photograph was taken outside because there was no room inside to stand far enough back. Three tables were borrowed from a neighbour and never returned, a fact still raised at gatherings.
Who was involved
Organised by Elena, who invited everyone individually and told nobody how many she had invited.
What came of it
From 1979 the reunion moved to Talisay, and has been held there every year since except 2020 and 2021.
